Description

Primary Health Medical Group is seeking a full time HR and Payroll Specialist. This individual works under the direct supervision of the Payroll and Benefits Manager. The HR and Payroll Specialist duties are varied and require a thorough knowledge of various HR practices, computerized payroll systems and company practices and procedures. Responsible for duties related to the processing of payroll in accordance with company, state, and federal policies and regulations. This position will be responsible for weekly and monthly payroll balancing including reviewing and auditing employee timesheets from the time and attendance system, assisting with payroll tax, quarterly reports, as well as other duties as assigned. In addition to payroll duties, the desired candidate would assist with new hire processing, tracking of training, and other miscellaneous HR duties as assigned.

 

 

Status: Full time, 40 hours per week

 

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

•Demonstrate proficient skills in Windows and Excel
•Work in a professional and detail-oriented way, with excellent verbal and written communication skills

•Communicate in an effective and professional manner, both verbally and in writing
•Plan and organize work efficiently and work within deadlines
• Prioritize tasks and be self-directed
•Type proficiently and accurately at 55 wpm
Comply with company privacy and other policies related to the use, disclosure, and storage of confidential employee information as well as protected health information

 

Responsibilities:

•Participates in the daily, weekly, monthly and yearly payroll processes.

•Processes garnishments and payroll taxes

•Conducts research, analyzes data, and prepares reports when directed by management

•Performs all work duties and activities in accordance with company’s policies, procedures and safety practices

 

Qualifications:

•Payroll experience strongly desired

•Candidates with the right combination of education and/or experience will be considered
