Description
Primary Health Medical Group is seeking qualified applicants for a Data Analyst.  The Data Analyst will be required to review and manipulate medical data relating to healthcare quality, insurance company information, and other internal and external information. The position is primarily responsible for ingesting detailed data and reporting useful information. Additionally, the Data Analyst will use reporting software to support Primary Health Medical Groups Clinical Quality, Population Health and Business Operations reporting needs.

Status: Full time, 40 hrs per week

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

Required Experience:
  • 2+ years analyzing healthcare and electronic medical records data.
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Excel, Power Point and Word including creating graphs and animations.
  • Ability to organize, synthesize, and analyze large amounts of information.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the demonstrated ability to work in a team oriented environment.
  • Detail oriented with a commitment to producing and maintaining reports that consistently meet the highest standards of accuracy.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to communicate effectively with diverse audiences including physicians, nurses, administrators and a wide-variety of non-technical staff.
Strongly Preferred:
  • 2+yrs current report development experience with Crystal Reports (v9 or higher).
  • Experience with eClinicalworks database structure.
  • Experience with health care financial and clinical data.
  • Use of Business intelligence tools. Microsoft Power BI for example.
  • HIPAA Knowledge.
Other Responsibilities:
  • Develop Power Point presentations using data.
  • Ascertain the most appropriate method of sharing data, using appropriate mechanisms to ensure privacy and security of health care data and to minimize PHI disclosure to only those entities that require it.
  • With minimum supervision, analyze data, write reports, and present data in formats such as abstracts, graphs or summaries.
  • Articulate risks and provide reporting to meet the needs and in the accordance with HIPAA and Idaho Privacy laws.
  • Respond timely to ad hoc requests by preparing meaningful reports.
  • Prepare documents, correspondance and other communication materials to convey information to appropriate internal and external audiences.
Applicants should be prepared to provide a portfolio of sample reports they have built (de-identified) and produce a written explanation of a sample report.
