As a key member of Primary Health Medical Group IT Staff, this position, working as team player, is responsible for all aspects of systems administration that includes management of data center operations, communications and network devices, storage systems (NAS, SAN), servers, desktop systems, wireless devices, and software.
Position serves as a technical expert in the area of system administration for complex operating systems, servers, storage, and networks. Recommends the redesign and configuration of operating systems servers, storage, networks, security, and system applications. Investigates and analyzes feasibility of system requirements and develops system specifications. Identifies methods, solutions, and provides project leadership in order to provide a high level of service to the customers of the department. Responsible for the technical design, planning, implementation, and the highest level of performance tuning and recovery procedures for mission critical enterprise systems. Responsible for ensuring proper process, procedure in accordance with ITIL standards. Performs full supervision of data center operations ensuring quality focused around the performance of systems.
Status: Full time, 40 hours per weekSchedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
The ideal candidate (Not required) will have additional expertise in one of the following areas:
- LAN/WAN design and configuration over MPLS running VOIP
- Cloud/Hybrid-Cloud technologies such as Azure
- Administrating databases servers such as SQL
Level of Education: Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a professional certification or demonstrated equivalent experience.
Qualifications:- 4+ years experience as a Systems Administrator working within an infrastructure at an enterprise level supporting multiple mission critical platforms
- Knowledge and experience in a Microsoft supported environment to include: Server, Exchange, SQL, Office, patch management, system monitoring tools
- General Networking and Security best practices
- 2+ years in a VMware multi-server environment
- Knowledge of storage and backup systems management such as Veem and Exagrid
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must have the ability to work with other people in a team environment
- Strong analytical and issue resolution skills
