Primary Health Medical Group is seeking qualified Certified Professional Coder applicants for a full time position located at our Administrative Office in Garden City.

Status: Full time, 40 hours per week

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

Responsibilities

• Perform auditing of medical charts for coding compliance
• Maintain coding standards to ensure a unified coding compliance system
• Be available for CPT and ICD-10 coding questions
• Provide updated information to clinic, billing staff and providers through training
• Learn and comply with all PHMG billing policies along with insurance medical billing policies

Qualifications

• 3 years of CPT/ICD coding experience required
• CPC certification preferred
• Two years of progressive multi-specialty auditing experience preferred
• Ability to teach/train providers and staff
• Above average customer service skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication and documentation
• Computer experience
• 10-key experience
• Ability to prioritize and work independently
