Your Day.
As a CNA you need to know how to:
- Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients including sterilization, cleaning, and checks on medical equipment
- Assist with Drug Screenings and Breath Alcohol Tests
- Create accounts and input patient demographics and health history for DOT Physicals
- Complete data entry for industrial and high school physicals
- Complete asymptomatic rapid COVID testing
- Complete in-house swabs and testing for Strep, Influenza and COVID
- Perform CLIA-waived in-house testing for patients of all ages
- Assist back office in managing patient flow, paperwork, and customer service
- Accurately document patient encounters
- Relay provider instructions to patients
- Screen AB CPE patients for adult immunizations
- Accompany providers during GU exams as chaperone
- Phone the ER with patient reports as directed by the UC provider
- Assist with all non-direct patient care tasks (autoclaving, stocking room, scanning records, lab cleaning, etc.)
- Assist with patient call backs for referrals only
- Assist the front office with the fax inbox, actions and scheduling wellness visits
- Assist or lead in emergency situations
- Maintain confidentiality regarding patient and business functions of the organization, i.e. HIPAA
- If certified in phlebotomy, may apply for the CNA-P designation once they have completed Admin Lab Training and a preceptor day with an IPL Phlebotomist
- Perform other duties as assigned

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Have a valid and current registry through the Idaho State Board of Nursing Aide Registry with no sanctions
- Previous clinical experience preferred
- Customer service oriented attitude/behavior
- Computer proficiency and ability to use applicable software as required performing the essential functions of the job
- Vaccines to include annual Influenza, Hep B, TDaP, and TB.
