Your Day.


As a Director of Human Resources, you need to know how to:
 

  • Partner with senior leadership to align human resources strategies with the organization's overall goals and objectives.
  • Design, oversee, and execute HR policies, procedures, training programs, and initiatives to ensure compliance and support the organization's strategic goals.
  • Lead or manage the delivery of HR programs, including (but not limited to) talent acquisition, staff and provider onboarding and training, employee benefits, staff and provider compensation, payroll, policy creation and management, employment contracting, employee relations, and performance management.
  • Ensure the organization remains compliant with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, as well as industry best practices; regularly review and update policies and procedures to support ongoing compliance
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving trends, best practices, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies in human resources; utilize this expertise to inform and advise executive leadership on necessary adjustments to policies, procedures, and organizational resources
  • Learn and maintain a thorough understanding of the organization's compensation methodology for both Urgent Care and appointment-based services
  • Provide leadership and oversight to Human Resources department managers, including those responsible for Talent Acquisition, Training, Provider Training and Scheduling, as well as Payroll and Benefits administration


Your experience.

We hire people, not resumes. But we also expect excellence, which is why we require:
 

  • A Bachelor of Science in Human Resources, Business Administration, or other related field
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP
  • 10 years or more of experience working as an HR Generalist or in at least one of eight HR disciplines (recruiting, onboarding, training, compensation, payroll, benefits, employee, or employment and benefits legal compliance) 
  • Knowledge of:
    • Employment law, including FLSA, ADA, ADEA, PDA, FMLA, Title VII, USERRA, and other discrimination laws
    • ERISA and IRS as related to payroll and benefits
    • DOL, EEOC, and Idaho Human Right Commission
    • A basic understanding of all HR principles
  • Skills required:
    • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
    • Ability to think critically and make reasoned decisions
    • Strong writing and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to lead teams at all levels
    • Ability to speak publicly in small and large groups
    • Strong conflict resolution skills to assist with employee, provider, and external stakeholder issues
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, type, write, and perform work on a computer
